Saturday party (Soirée By The Bay) and Sunday work on Optis - busy weekend for Sailing School Family

SILENT AUCTION TAKES ON A VOICE OF ITS OWN  –

Getting close to Saturday - and the Soirée By The Bay - 6PM

With nearly two dozen items, this weekend's  Edgewood Soirée Silent Auction List is creating a stir.

One highlight is the 11 x 17 Abner Kingman's prize-winning Mirabaud Yacht Racing © photo from 2013's America's Cup series.  The photo recalls the arching tension as the sailing machines vied for position, like Sunfish on steroids.

Other items in the Auction List so far also include:

  • restaurant credits,
  • pairs of tickets to the theater: The GAM, the TRINITY REP, as well as the OCEAN STATE,
  • a shark-circled hand mirror,
  • extraordinary graphics and an historic Edgewood plat survey page (framed and mounted),
  • a custom birdhouse,
  • family expeditions to Rose Island or onto Save The Bay's Seal Watch,
  • plus gear for the boat, and for the skipper from the likes of ZIM, INTENSITY SAIL, and TEAM-ONE.

All (full listing) have been provided and donated by Edgewood Sailing School's growing circle of supporters.

Contact Stephanie for reservations for the Soirée By the Bay
by email  or phone - $50 per person - by mail or at the door.

SPRING CLEANING  –

ESS Parents & Friends Opti Project Day - Sunday, May 31 - 8am to 2pm

It's that time of year; and many hands make light work!

Please join the ESS crew to help get our Opti fleet, dollies, and other equipment ready for the 2015 season. No particular skills or experience required. We'll be pulling the Optis off the racks, cleaning them up, and making miscellaneous repairs.

Come for an hour or two, or stay all day. Burn off some calories from the good food and drink at the ESS fundraiser the night before.

Questions? Contact George at gwsjr75@gmail.com or (917) 975-8650. Thanks!
