After the VOR - edgewood sailing school starts the season

life after Volvo –

With the VOR boats gone off to Lisbon, Edgewood sailors have jumped back to their pre-season work.

Edgewood sailors joined many Rhode Island spectators at the VOR, if only to see if the trophy would fit on the Clubhouse mantle. The week before, Greta and Henry both sailed in the Youth Challenge regatta, keeping Edgewood Sailing competitive on the rosters.

PARTY NEXT WEEKEND - THIS IS IT !

The big party is just one week ahead, on Saturday (May 30 from 6PM).

One person summed it up by saying:

Ever since the Fire, every couple of years the Sailing School enjoys a big fund-raiser party at Stephanie and George Shuster's house down facing the Conimicut Light. This year it's called Soirée By The Bay.  It's wonderful food, great chatter, and (some feel) a display of intense avarice (we call it a "silent auction") over a surprising collection of maritime and Rhode Island stuff, theater tickets, restaurant gift cards, and quite a lot of very unexpected loot.  $50 per person gets you in; but that does not begin to describe the fun and cheerful support for the Sailing School which you will carry away home.

Help swing the Sailing School family into spring. Saturday May 30, Soirée By The Bay 2015: refreshments, a challenging "silent auction" of things "remarkable and useful", and a chance to catch up with friends.

Great location and a fine evening ahead.
RSVP $50/person
