Starter Sailor / Save The Bay Experience (full-day program)
For our younger and/or first-time sailors, the morning will be spent learning first hand the fun of sailing.  Our young new sailors will learn about boats, experience sailing with instructors and begin to develop a comfort level with boats.  Following a morning of sail, the youngsters will take a boat ride to the neighboring Save The Bay Center for a fun-filled afternoon of Bay-centered activities, fostering a love of Narragansett Bay in our youngest bay-stewards.  Featuring, for example, bay-exploration, playing the role of lobsterman for the day, or learning about creatures of the bay!  Classes meet full-day Monday through Friday 9:00 (drop-off at Edgewood Sailing School) to 4:00pm (pick-up at Save The Bay Center).  This program is being run in cooperation between Edgewood Sailing School and Save The Bay, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.

Club 420 & Laser Racing - Advanced (full-day program, 4 days a week)
Boathandling skills are honed in the c420 racing dinghy.   Confident, capable sailors learn how to sail a double-handed dinghy, both as a skipper and as crew.  The older young sailors will experience thrill of sailing a faster boat with trapezes and spinnakers. Sailors work a full day of weather options, including the brisker afternoon winds, allowing for introduction of the more demanding performance.  At this level, we encourage boat ownership by the junior sailor. A discount is allowed when student has his/her own private boat.
