Snow days cause Strong early registration adult and youth fills more classes

For the Youth Program, Rhode Island's, 2012-2013 winter and lingering make-up snow school days have pinched the available time for sailing.  Youth registrations were early and strong.  Some classes have their limits and have candidates on waiting lists.  Three Youth classes are full (with waiting lists), and three classes are full in the adult-communnity program.  Youth parents have asked about opening additional classes; but the challenge of doing so within the limited resources has, so far, made that idea only a "wish".

If the Sailing School's Youth schedule cannot be expanded, then Youth Cruising and most of the Starter Sailor classes are available and offer some alternatives for students eager to be out on the water in 2013.

On the adult-community side it's very much the same story, although it has been possible to organize an additional 1-meeting "introduction" class (will be on Saturday June 1), which has helped at least to tide people over to open adult-community classes available in July.
