The Edgewood Sailing School's 2010 season of Rhodes 19 racing will begin on Wednesday, June 16 at 5:30 pm. Sailing school students, alumni, and skippers with private boats are all invited to come hone their sailing skills with fellow sailors. The racing is typically relaxed and collegial, with an emphasis on skills rather than scores.

In addition to hosting the races, the sailing school holds classes to help students prepare for racing. On several race nights during the season, instructors will offer training in the handling of spinnakers needed for competitive downwind sailing. There are also classes in Racing Certification where students are introduced to the rules of competitive racing. Certification is required to skipper sailing school boats for racing.
